ART STARTER KITS (ASK)

ASK is a Chena initiative to create space where young artists can express and improve their skills. The program seeks to inspire youth to appreciate art and culture. The program is intended to provide a safe creative space for young people to have a positive social alternative to challenges many youth face these days such as drug and alcohol abuse. In addition, Zambia has one of the highest rate of early marriages in the world and so we intend to use this time to to encourage both girls and boys to be empowered and learn some skills before they consider marriage. We have had positive feedback from attendees thus far.

We plan to grow in the following communities:

• Low income areas
• Vulnerable communities
• Schools

Art as an investment and experience.
